Cody, Great "find" in your stuff. Cool pic in a trench coat with his bow & arrow/broadhead combo. Any way to get a pic that is close enough to read the article??? What does it say about Fred?

Great read. Thanks again Cody. So he rated himself a "fair" shot? Don't know what kind of shot I would be on elephants at recurve range....

Guys, Do any of you know what bow Al had that was Bill's.. Because I am thinking that the bow that Al was showing me was Bill's work out bow which was also a #100 I wonder if that is the same bow that Al that is in the article?......

Any help would be great,

Cody - Nice article about Negley, thanks for posting it.

Negley's 102# bow was in the Bear Museum in Florida the last time I saw it.

Fred made 5 bows for Negley to work up in weight while in training over several months, if I remember the weights correctly they were 73#, 78#, 90#, 96#, 102#. Negley broke the 78# right after the 90# arrived.

When I was at Al's home, he showed me one of Negley's bows, can't remember which one it was for sure, it had to be either the 73#, 90# or 98#.

I have the 100# identical twin to Negley's 102#, but mine was not made as one of Negley's bows and does not have Fred's inscription to Negley on it.

Very cool, Cody.

Fellows, Bill actually did clean-miss one elephant on a later hunt, at ten yards range!

Man I would not want to miss the and have the elephant come after me..LOL.....

But Also Bill didn't take a guy with a back up gun which would not go over well these days..
