I have a acquired a number of the double-shelf Bears (Kodiak, Cub, Polar) and I'm needing to try to find a very thin, natural leather to replace the strike plates....or, ideally, some ready-made versions that I can simply glue on

Anyone have suggestions?

Many thanks

Commitment is like bacon & eggs; the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed....

It doesn't look original, but it is thin and works well-I use some brown pigskin that I picked up years ago at Tandy Leather.  PM me your address and I'll mail a chunk to you if you want to try it.
