Picked up my first Bear Take Down.  2008 LH  A handle and 2 set of Grayling limb's. One set makes a 56" 45# bow and the other makes 58" 55# bow. Really wanted something a little older but will take what comes along. As far as shooting this thing really shoots nice is very quiet. Going to use my 59' Kodiak for hunting this year but I know I will have to take this out a few times. The gentleman I bought it from has refinished the riser to give it a little darker color. Cody a been kind enough to post some pic's for me

Doug,

That's a great looking riser, congrats!

Let us know how she shoots. I can hear my compass rattle slightly at each shot--I wouldn't mind that rattle if mine looked as good as yours...

Felix I have no idea what he used to refinish it but it sure look better than the oringinal. I Only wish he would have wrote the serial # on the bow when he refinished it. I do have the serial # just not sure if I can put in on now.

The guy must have stained it. I like it better than the original finish.

Doug, Some history on your bow. The man you got it from name is Jim S. He has Silver Creek Archery in Hastings Ne. We hunt together and went to Compton together. Last year I bought an Amag-RH and Jim wanted the limbs. The next weekend he came to hunt he had a new Lh wood riser from 3-rivers. We both shoot Lefty so I shot it a few times and fell in love with it. Jim told me if I wanted one to hurry because 3-Rivers only had one left. The next Monday I called and bought the last one thay had.  My ser.# is TDA-016  one off of yours. Jim refinished his to look more like the old TD`S. and is going to do mine this winter (that is if he wants to deer hunt with me) BTW on the way to Compton this year Jim picked-up a LH type 1 B riser and at Compton I got a Lh type 1 A riser. Enjoy your new bow, let us know when it makes meat.  Ken O.
