Well actually, the bow was not exactly free.

The seller listed the bow as "free of stress" and "free of holes".  These statements turned out to be true and while that's a good thing the bow was "free" of a few other things as well.  The limbs were not free of twists but those were bumped out rather quickly.

The bow was "free" of intact tip overlays

"Free" of decent decals.  Al Harford helped with that problem

"Free" of a Copper Coin.  Thanks Kurt for making them available.

"Free" of a decent leather grip, strike plate, feather rest, bright specs and a durable finish to protect it from the elements and bring out it's true beauty.

Mostly the bow was "free" of TLC which I've been giving the old girl for a couple weeks now.  Hope I havent bored you with too many pics but like a Playboy centerfold, I felt her beautiful curves needed to be viewed from several angles.

Trap -

Nice set up !!!

Looks like you are getting back pretty close to the all original 1959 look.

May need to replace that file handle...

And put a few scuffs on the Western Quiver...

Or I have one with a few scuffs, that I could trade to you for that one...      :bigsmyl:

You just don't see many Westerns with the original leather tie still in the zipper.

Thanks Guys,

John, it is missing a compass and a quiver bushing, but it's never too late to drill a couple holes.  We'll see

Wade, I think plastic is overrated.  I'll stick with Osage unless I find the "correct" thing at the "right" price.

I was thinking of replacing that zipper pull with a piece of orange parachute cord.  Maybe I should reconsider   ;)
