was just wondering which would be a better bow?  both bows are 58'' and in real good shape.will one perform better than the other and which will hold it's value better.any other opinions on them would great also.thanks, rich in pa.

I may be wrong but that year Kodiak Hunter may be the one with a very high grip whereas the Grizzly had a medium grip.  Others may chime in.  I'd say they would shoot the same.

Rich: IMO the K/Hunter is just a step above the Griz. They both are super shooters and handle well.
The K/H will hold it's value a bit better. I killed a bunch of deer with my 67 K/ Hunter over the years.

Buy both of them and sell the one to me!    :bigsmyl:

Rich..The grip on the K/H is pistol type high grip and I love the way it fits the hand JMO...Good luck Mike

Hey Rich..I'm going to be listing a 1966 Griz 47# on the big auction Wednesday Night At 9:00..Super clean bow and a real good shooter..Has a few stess lines in the fade outs but not bad at all..Check it out

Both are good bows, but for value my vote goes to the KH for only one reason---collectibility.  It was their first year and the only year in 58".

I had an ad in the classifieds wanting a 67 Griz and had a few offers.  I ended up with a '66 model offered by ckruse, so thanks Cameron.

My interest in this Grizzly has to do with it's similarity to the '61 Kodiak which is a great shooter for me.

I think the Griz was abetter shooter when it was 62". The reduction in AMO down to 58" made a big difference - and not for the good. Take the Kodiak Hunter.

The '67 K-Hunter is probably one of my very favorite Kodiaks for hunting.  Love the grip & 58" is short enough for me to handle easily sitting in the woods.  I have had several, and still have 2.  Only Griz in my collection is the '62, others I've let go....I'd choose the KH if I were you!

I like the kodiak hunters. They have a beefy riser and make a nice stable shooter. The 1967 was the only 58" model, 1968 and later ones were 60".

Like the others have said the Kodiak Hunter has a little more mass to it so should be a little more stable.  I just prefer a more medium grip though.
