Just got my insert and the hole is too big. So I guess I have to epoxy it in. The stabilizer insert is 29/64 inch.

The top of the insert has a raised flange. Does this flange sit flush on top of the face of the bow with just the little flange resting outside the hole or does it stick out about 1/16 "???? Do I need to drill the hole out to make it lay flush on the face of the bow?? Should the insert be tight in the hole or do you always have to use epoxy to bed it in??

Thanks
Sam

Horney Toad

It should go all the way in and the flange should rest on the glass. You will need to epoxy it in, be careful not to get epoxy on the threads.

Ssamac

So that means I have to drill a little deeper, correct??

Horney Toad

Yep, a tad deeper. Always drill with great care to avoid messing up the glass.
