I took the paint off this and there's no writing or numbers on this bow. I will try to post a picture. I haven't had much luck with that though.

I can get a small pic which it says is a clickable thumbnail and will let you see all the pictures in the photobucket album. I just can't figure out how to get one nice pic up on here.

Thanks Kenny. Now if I only knew 2 things, How to do that and what kind of bow this is? It is pretty close to that Shakespear.

Check in Cliff Coes book,it may be a Coe "Tourney".Is it quite long ,like maybe 66" or68"?

Shleprock

Thanks Cornfed. It measures 68". I found the pictures of Coe bows on the net. It does look like the tourney. I wish there was a better picture to look at. If looking at the album of pictures this bow it could still be refinished? Garlin.

IMO,there should be no reason to not give her a face lift.If you get a pix of the tips I can identify further.Mine is packed away in storage at the present, but I remember what it looks like.Frome the string groove outward,it should be small/roundish and I believe red and white.I may even have an original transfer,I'll have to look.Does anyone know if Mr. Coe is still with us?

kenscollick

Sadly Cliff is no longer with us. He passed away Sept 08 at the age of 93

He was one of the last archery Icons from Michigan. Those that had the pleasure of meeting him and visiting him said that his shop was largely intact looking very much like all you had to do is turn on the lights and continue where he left off.

I dont know what has or will become of his estate anyone know?

cornfed

Bummer Ken, but thanx for lettin us know. His book is a very interesting read for shure.

Schleprock, if you click on your thumbnail pic in your first post, when it takes you to the site where the bigger picture is, look just to the right and below the pic. There are 4 lines of writing that say some mumbo jumbo about email and img. The last line is the one you want, it'll say img code, the right side in the box it will say http/blablawhatever. Click on it then right click on it, a drop down box will appear, choose copy, then go back to the quick reply box on tradgang, right click again and choose paste. When you choose paste the img code mumbo jumbo will appear. Then when you click add reply the picture will magically appear.

What years did they make the wonder bow?
very nice lines

Shleprock

I don't know if it is a wonderbow or not. If you google them the riser on the wonderbow doesn't seem to turn in as hard where the grip meets the shelf. However I couldn,t  find a good picture of the shakespeare tips. Does this picture of the tip jog anyone's memory.

Shleprock

Thanks Kurtbel5. I just googled Drake bows and found some pics on another site. Although a little different color the tips look almost identical.
