Just checking to see what year this quiver came out in the catalogs? It came with a bow I picked up for my son and is too nice for a beginner bow..Roy

The brown metal leather top came out in 1957 and was available thru 1966 when the change was made to the green plastic hooded type.

I think the first spring arm came out in 1974, Wadde is correct on the tape on leather top 1957.

what year was the spring arm added, my 1959 and 60' catalogs don't show the spring arm yet.

Supposedly the spring arm model was introduced in 1963.  I just picked up two the other day and searched the 'net with the same question.

Listed in the catalog until '71.

The Spring Arm 8-Arrow plastic top first appeared in the 1963 Catalog on page 16.

The Spring Arm 4-Arrow Leather Cap (Long and Short) first appeared in the 1965 Bear Catalog on page 18.

I have written and illustrated documentation that was printed and dated 1961 that clearly shows both the 4-Arrow Spring Arm and the 8-Arrow Spring Arm existed in 1961.

There is always a window of time between the development of a product to its official introduction in a catalog.  

Take your pick for exact year to date these quivers, if you want to date them by the catalog or by earliest documentation.

The 8 arrow spring arm quiver started in 1963.
The four arrow leather top spring arm was 1964
1972 is when the change from the leather top to the four arrow plastic hood occurred.

I'll go with Wade here guys. "The Oldest Game" film was a 1962 production and Bear is using a leather-top spring arm four arrow quiver in that film and Kroll is using an early spring-arm eight arrow model.  Grant
