Brad, congratulations on that fine bow. You are sure right about 64" being good for your longer draw. Definitely no hard feelings, glad to see the bow in the TG community.

Now that my Alaskan has been officiated by bd and others as "59ish" I plan to set it up for the Bday hunt and get some photos posted.

Uh oh, UPS is here... gotta go play with the new shorty bow.

TRAP

Congrats Brad, that's a great looking bow.

Hope to see pics soon.

Well, if I can't get my maple sight window '59 done before season, then I will most likely hunt with this one. It's a 60",48#er in near mint condition.

There's no compass in that bow either John.  Do You need to borrow a Forstner bit?  :bigsmyl:

I love the arrows,  I think my next batch will be dipped full length white.

Thanks for the pics, Trap

I just had a couple 1959 Kodiak Specials stop bye for a little visit. Both seem to be pretty good bows one 62" 59# and the other is 64" 52#.I'll try and get a few pics loaded..bd

d. ward

Here's a couple of work horses 59# and 52# ..bd

TRAP

WOW a 59# 62" KS.  That bow will smoke one.

I love my 50#er.

I'll get a string on them later today. If I get time this weekend I may shot all 3 bows thru the chrony see which one is the fastest just wondering..I already know which one will cast an arrow the longest distance. That would be the 52# 64" 1959 Kodiak Special. One of the 2 or maybe both of those Specials will most likely be hitting the class.add in the next couple weeks.I got 5 bows on friday and will not be able to buy them all...I just dropped 400.00 thursday on new lights for my paint booth...bd

Jeremy

Hey bd, let me know if the 52# KSpecial is hitting the classifieds.  I have one w/ exact same stats and love it.  That middle bow in your first pic is calling to me too (64" and 51#??)

So much eye candy in this thread!

You have all the cool toys.

Who made the long bow, doc?

Bottom Grizzly? has a little character mark.

d. ward

The long bow in the middle is a Morgan which I will most likely keep that one I been waiting several years to get it.
Kurt your slipping in your old age.The bottom bow is a 1959 Kodiak with the leather grip removed.bd

kurtbel5

Old age?? I'm from Ca.,more like short term memory loss.   :knothead:

Can you post a full pic of the Morgan?? looks like a stunner.

Is the 59 K, with grizzly bite marks, going on the block??
            Kurt

Shaun

Long term loss of short term memory, a common problem with a certain age demographic (Old Hippies).

I gotta get those bows strung up and checked out later this morning.I been a little busy preping bows to start spraying this week. Here's the 59 Kodiak I got.Real nice bow 60" 45#er but does have one small problemo...bd

mwmwmb

Doc, I sure would like a 59 for this years hunt. with a baby on the way not sure if it is possibble but let me know when you decide to unload one in 45-55# range.

Shaun

Here's my first entry "Halloween" Alsaskan. This bow is cleaned up, new string, quiver arrow holder replaced and arrows tuned. Ready  for a hog/javelina trip in about 10 days.

The arrows are possibly Sweetlands - very dense 5/16 that weigh with tip 475. It is a tack driver with these and the paint job that they came with is a perfect match to the bow.

Claiming my feather rest for another bow - the recent Polar - in red if possible.
