Well i finally decided to book 2 day's with Rick October 21&22 2014. After reading all the reviews and watching utube video's. There has to be something with his style. Gave up the compound 3 years ago and only want to shoot recurve. I have not hunted in 3 year's  because  i'am not confident enough to make a good shot on a deer. I feel you owe, that to the animal your hunting. I bought a bow from Rick in February. So while i'am down there, here can make sure everything is sized up. I live in the midwest and not to many traditional shooters to learn from. I wish i would have done this a long time ago from compound to recurve.

Went 2 years ago and it improved my shooting greatly. He taught me as much about what I as doing when I didn't hit what I was looking at as he about what to do to hit that spot. If that makes any sense. Rick is a solid guy and knows shooting. I have actually thought about going back. You won't regret it.

Question for you guys that have gone: is it required to shoot three under during the class?

I strongly suggest you try his style. 3-under is not required, but when I went, I decided to go full bore and adapt his complete system. I was shooting split at the time and figured I could always go back to split if I felt it more comfortable. I went home shooting 3-under, and never looked back.

Mr. Welch's Shooting School is excellent!

If only one signficant element is grasped, then, for me, the investment is productive.

The best thing you can do is get the accuracy factor III video and start using the routine, just get the routine down pat, don't worry about the aiming part, just get close to the target and get your stance, breathing, anchor and a solid static release down, you will be way ahead of the game when you get to his class and will be able to cover a lot more info.

Rick is a great teacher.
You get you moneys worth and then some.
He also spends a lot of time building you the correct arrow for your bow.
Im going back one day with my grandson.
