Here are a couple videos of my release. I know the angle is not great, but I posted a previous video showing the side angle. Perhaps looking at both, someone can help me identify why I'm cutting my lip while releasing. I've trimmed down my tab, tried slightly turning my head left (which sometimes causes the arrows to impact to the right of my point of aim), all without success. If you identify any other form break-downs, I would welcome input.

LBF,  Your alignment and posture at full draw look good.  Then at the critical moment, release, the video (both) go all blurry and nothing can be seen.  Try again??

Arne, The recoil of the bow has caused the camera to jump. I guess there's not much I can do with that. Thanks for the input!

Now and then it happens to me also.  What I thought I have learned is that it is 'always' caused by me overdrawing slightly - even a 1/4" will do it.  I learned something very important from watching your video that is going to help me too and will modify my statement.  

As Arne said, your form, line up, etc. look good prior to your release - then, at the time of release your head turns toward the string and I think that might be caused by connecting your head/neck muscles with the rearward tension on your shoulder.  Try isolating your shoulder and only pull with the back and don't allow your head to pull around to the side.

When it happens to me it is always at the start of a shooting session and after I loosen up it stops (before the bleeding becomes excessive)   :rolleyes:

I also have this problem but it is only when i use a tab(i hate them).  So how i solved it was, stop using a tab! haha.  

Let me know if you find out what it is, because i would like to shoot a tab, but can't stand my face getting cut up.

Will do. It may be what Pete said. I do pull through the shot after reaching anchor. This may be causing me to slightly turn my face toward the string at release. I'm going to try what Pete said and see if that helps.

Trim your tab and that should cure it.  Best instructions for trimming are on the Black Mamba Archery website.
