Talk to me about follow thru after release, it doesn't feel natural to me. Is it something in my form or draw? I draw 26" but I'm a short fellow, am I just not pulling far enough? Here's a vid, I know I'm a lil covered up, it was chilly outside lol.

Here is what I see.  First, I'm not sure why you want to take that step forward as you start your draw.  I don't think that is a habit you want to take into the hunting field with you (if that is your plan).

Your video is taken from a poor angle to tell much, we really need a toe to toe, belly button to belly button view that shows from feet to head and bow to string elbow (ALL OF YOU).  AND another one looking from behind and looking down so we can see your string forearm (elbow) to bow hand -- for alignment.

From what I can see here, you are not getting to full draw -- string hand is out in front of your face a fair distance it appears.  That in turn, keeps your string forearm outside the arrow line and causes the flip of the string hand as you release.  It also keeps the weight of the bow in your arm and you don't have a chance of transferring to your back -- so you get no follow through.  Try thinking about "pressing" the string arm elbow and shoulder back - perpendicular to the arrow line - then release.

Your actual string release looks pretty good -- nice relaxed hand release it appears.

These are just suggestions, really need better video angles to help much more.

I can't look at the video right now but will share what I have to work on.  I used to short draw regularly.   This will lead to no follow thru.  The only way to get great follow thru is to keep pulling thru the shot.  Ones hand should never be away from the face after the shot.  When that happens, we pluck the string, which allows no follow thru.  When I anchor, my index finger is at the corner of my mouth.  When I shoot I try to make sure that my hand ends up below my ear and still in contact with my neck/jaw.  For me, that let's me know I pulled thru the shot.  When I do that, my release feels smooth and I get the best performance from my setup.  I hope all this makes sense.  Just sharing what works for me.

i would also suggest picking up  Byron Fergusons' "become the arrow", or one of asbells books on shooting.

i thought i had a 29" draw for several years, but after reading byrons' book and watching the companion video, and watching Arnes' youtube vids, took what i could from all of them, i now have a solid 30.25" draw. i had to get new arrows and tune them, but hey i wanted new arrows anyhow.

I'll add this to what Arne told you. From my experience, until you get a constant pull thru the shot you will never have a consistant release. The pulling for me is a subtle thing, too. Overdoing it will not help you. Like Arne says it is a pressing movement with the shoulder and elbow more than a pull. When you finally get there it is an epifany moment, and your consistancy will improve.  

It still looks like you're drawing too short. At full draw, your elbow isn't in line with the arrow and your hand is still flying away from your face. It does look much better than the first video though.

Study Arne's "Rotational Draw" video and see if you can pull farther back and get your elbow more in line. That way when you release your hand will naturally fly back instead of away from your face.

Just don't do what I've seen some people do and try to consciously force a follow-through. I saw one video where he had a dead-hand static release and then moved it to touch his shoulder after the shot was complete. The only person he was fooling was himself. You'll know when you get it right, you'll be scratching your cheek with your fingernails and won't know even realize it.

I'm not claiming mine is perfect, but watch where my string hand goes after the shot.
