Looking to purchase something to shot at. I've been using 3d targets and the normal block target that you would buy at sporting good store.  The larger block targets are way to expensive for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the feed store and buy a few 100# feed sacks. I stuff them with plastic wrap or any old pallet wrap I dig up loosly stitch the end up and hang them up. The sun will degrade them and you just need to stuff the old bag into a new bag. I pay .70/bag here.

I just buy straw bales they are cheap and I have one that I've probably shot 10,000 times  with field tips and  55lb bows and it's still going strong.  I don't always shoot at the same spot though. It also probably depends how well the baler synched it down.

Works, great.

I went to the local grocery store, and asked the manager if I could have one of their card board bales? He said sure. Suckers are big and heavy! I keep it covered with a small canvas tarp. It works great, but I much rather go up in the hills and shoot stumps..

Bricks of peat moss work real good and are only $10.
