Was doing some stump shooting the other day.  I normally pick my spot, draw, aim/hold and release but every once in awhile I would mix in focus, draw and release in one motion.

It got me wondering if how many stick to one form in all situations or does your style change depending on the type of shot?

I seem to stick with the same shot after shot. However you never know what you might discover monkeying around with other ideas. When something doesn't work you can always go back.

I've been at this game for a while now... If a target is stationary, like at 3D, you may find yourself more relaxed at a shot... Moving targets like small game or a thrown ball almost force you to shoot in a fluid motion as you said... It all happens automatic... Kinda Cool!

The more I keep things the same the more consistent I am. Draw, pause at anchor, try to squeeze my shoulder blades together maintaining pushing and pulling and release.

I mix it up.  A shot at a running rabbit or moving squirrel requires different timing than a stationary one.  Though the results are usually better with stationary ones.    ;)

I usually shoot my longbow split finger with a glove with a slight cant.  I vary the cant to practice different hunting shots.  Then in the same session I'll go get my recurve and a tab and shoot vertical bow three under with a longer holding time.  I shoot decent either way and enjoy switching it up simply because I love archery and discovering all the nuances it holds.
