This seems like it would be the opposite but I have always hooked the string fairly tight for what I thought was better control of the shot. After much experiemnting I have found that just enough hook on the string to hold it helps EVERYTHING. Arrow flight, accuracy and control once you lean to trust it.   BILL

Yes! Yes! Bullfrog!  Let the bow's weight align things, don't try to do it yourself.  Relaxed arm, wrist and hand will reduce MANY problems, if not eliminate them all together.
