Lately, I have noticed that many arrows seem to fly poorly. This has happened with several bows, shooting a variety of arrows with differing spine weights, so I strongly suspect form.

Here's what happens. The fletch end of the arrow kicks noticeably to the right (I shoot right handed). It seems to impact at point of aim O.K., so I don't think the flight path is drifting to the left. There is no porpoising action, just the horizontal movement.

I know that a bad grip on the string can twist it and cause problems, as will a release that is not crisp, but are other things also in play?

Also, is there any difference in using a glove as opposed to a tab in relation to smoothness of release? Lastly, does brace height play into this? If so, does it need to go up or down? Right now, the bow draws nicely and is very quiet.

I know Moebow thinks form is the most likely villain, so I hope he chimes in. He has been helpful before.I would like to hear from some of you guys who have successfully fixed this problem and learn what you did about it. Thanks.

You say "lately" so that tells me that your arrows were flying OK before?  If so, something you are doing has changed and most likely your equipment has not.  It could be any number of things but check your bow hand and string hand to start.

The "old" discussion about gloves and tabs will have no set answer for folks, it is REALLY a "to each his own" thing.

Brace height could do this but that is an easy check to see if it has changed and to set it back to where it belongs.

Go back to the "blind bale", feel your shot and see if you can identify any differences in the feel of the shot.  Video is also a great way for you to watch your process and identify anything that doesn't look right.

Yes!  Equipment also can do this, but as YOU say, "lately" so something has changed and the most changeable "part" in archery is the archer himself.

Well, Moebow, it looks like a delay getting any video. Bad luck hit the family. A couple of weeks ago, my mother in law fell and broke her hip. After surgery she was placed in a rehab center but has since then fallen a second time and broken the other hip and her wrist. My wife has been with her at the hospital most of the time. Maybe after she gets out of surgery, my wife can help with some video. I'll re-visit this issue then.
