I am new to this and I am trying to keep my bowhand torque free. When I shoot I just rest the bow in the pocket of my hand and keep my fingers off the bow, similar to how I shoot compound. However I have to be careful to "catch" the bow before I drop it. Is there another way to shoot without torque or should I buy a wrist strap? As I said I am a true beginner so bear with me! Thanks!

ohio,  Some time ago, I posted some pictures of a SUGGESTED bow grip that I find works for ALL grip styles including your C bow.  Do a search for a thread here  called "grip question" and you will find those photos.  See if they help.  Yes, catching the bow is NOT a good thing.  A wrist strap/sling will work too but really isn't necessary.  Also, holding your fingers off the grip adds more tension than is desirable to your bow forearm.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?
