What do you guys do with your thumb?

Lately I've been fiddling around with my string hand. I used to have my thumb pointing straight up along the side of my face, but I found it made my hand and wrist feel really tense and it was difficult to get a good release. Now I have my thumb tucked in, but depending on how I hold it it seems to dig into the side of my face, pushing my string hand away from my face or throw off my anchor (middle finger in the corner of my mouth)
How do you guys hold your thumbs?

I've seen the 'thumb's up' position and always thought it looked rather weird. I suppose looks are secondary to results, however.

My thumb is angled forward and the tip angled tip bent down at 45 degree angle during the draw and anchor. I like the 'thumb tucked' approach.

I put my thumb on top of my pinky nail and that connection point is locked behind my jaw.

I also keep my thumb pointing up...Ive tried tucking it in/under...but it just feels so weird that way to me...plus Im ALOT MORE CONSISTANT with it UP....

I started tucking my pinky finger under my thumb a couple of months ago, and it has been working great for me. Similar to what Blaino said. It does make it so your hand is not as flat to your face though...I feel like I get really good and tidy line from my string fingers all the way up my forearm to my elbow this way.

Same as Coyote.  A secondary anchor thumb knuckle locked under my chin.

I used to lock in behind my jaw line. I cant do that anymore and now have my thumb up.
