There's how many threads featured at the top of the page, and folks continue to post topics that don't belong here.

As much as I get frustrated at these off topic post, I can't imagine how frustrating it is for the administration of this site.

C'mon folks, read the dang rules why don't you!!!

I'm sorry, I just had to let it out and see if I could help out.   :banghead:    :banghead:    :banghead:

I've been in TX for a week......I see quiet a few in the ADMIN forum that could have come from here....but most time if they are off topic here they aren't moved, just deleted....but I have no idea of what was deleted during the last week.

Yes, it does get frustrating, and I don't know why folks don't read the rules, or do read the rules and don't abide by them.

Green....what do you mean about 'new title'?  Did I mess something?

Not sure how long it's been like that Terry....but the forum title now reads "The Shooters FORM Forum".

Well it's pretty obvious now.  Who knows...in a couple of months you might be able to delete 15-20 of the "Read the Rules" posts.

Still amazes me....with all the threads on the rules...some folks are oblivious.

Randy and I pulled about 7 in the last two days.

Not only the "read the rules", but this big flashing green banner across the bottom.  I guess some folks just get too excited....   :readit:

I think the intent here is shooting yes, equipment not so much.    :archer2:

If you read the rules, and the guideline thread(S) or the banner over the top.....where on earth did you get that idea??????????????

Please tell me,....cause the reason you think this might be the biggest reason folks are clueless.

I'm not sure what was on ric1959's mind, but at times I have had the same question.

One of the posts that was deleted was a request for help from a member with an injury caused by shooting the bow.  Granted that is not "Shooting Form" within the tightest definition of that term (although poor shooting form can be the cause of shooting injuries, and I'm not sure that "Form" had been added to the title at the time of the original post).  If I didn't have any information to the contrary, I would think that a discussion of shooting injuries would belong in the shooting forum.

My thread that was pulled was a question I had about why my shooting style does not seem to transfer to indoor paper targets very well. It seems to work well on 3D animal targets and stump style shooting but in a controlled setting same yardage , paper target , etc. it (I) am very inconsistent.I do not want to argue with the Administrators they do a fine job.

Ah....your's was likely pulled to to 'target archery'.

We do allow 3D ....but not paper, field, fita fita foe chat.  We try to focus on the form and act of shooting more as it relates to hunting.  This way we don't get invaded by all the 'target chat'.....we found out early in our 1st year if you allow all that, folks get off on all sorts of tangents and it would defeat the purpose of this forum.

Ah, the dreaded tangent.  It seems to be an epidemic around here...Your efforts are appreciated, even if it is a losing battle.

Terry Green

Yes....tangents are what turns a normal forum or thread into a confusion convention.

Nothing against target archery, fita, archery golf or all that sort of stuff....noting against it at all....but it doesn't belong here on this site.  And it will not belong here on this site.

Once again, I was away on buiz for a week, and I come home to a barrage of alerts about off topic posts once again here on this forum.
