I recently purchased one from 3 Rivers, not trying to bash 3 rivers now, but its no where holding up to the one that i had replaced.  the one i had before was almost 2 years old and now this new one 2 months old is worn out just as much as the old one.

anyone else have any issues with these rest?

Have you changed anything that might have an affect on the tune of your bow. Arrow weight? Point weight? Arrow lenght? Ect.

I switched to the weather rest. works much better for me.

I was about to order three of them from 3 Rivers. I have a Bear Bristle rest on my main bow that I've been using for 30 years and it shows no sign of wear.

yeah ive gone to a lighter weight arrow.  I was shooting 60# spine 23/64's  now im shooting 45-50# 11/32's.

wouldnt think lighter arrows would do this.  think might be the quailty of the bristles on the rest

I use the camo moleskin over a small piece of velcro (the fuzzy kind) and it works great, plus it's cheap.

I have been using the same 3Rivers brush rest for over a year.  No wear whatsoever.  I expect this rest to last for many years.  Previously I went through about a half dozen or more Hoyt super rests per year.

No problems with my brush rest either!! You wouldn't have some how moved your nock point lower, huh??

Speaking of elevated rests from 3Rivers, I picked up a couple T-300 Hunters from them and put one on my HunterII. I thought I was getting great flight with a Hoyt Hunter rest, but the T-300 puts it to shame.  I don't think I could get better arrow flight if I installed an insert and added a cushion plunger. Getting equally good flight with both feathers and vanes, too.

Not exactly cheap at $7.99, but cheaper than the sealskin I have on my Hunter I and way cheaper than anything I used to use on my compounds...

dunno... maybe I got a bad one.  Ive always set my nock centered at 3/8 above level. Ive sent email to 3Rivers and waiting to see what they say.  guess im gonna have to buy another one. either way i dont have any extras.  this time im buying 2.

I suspect a tuning problem....As OL's tuning guide says, "only change ONE variable at a time".  A properly tuned arrow should not be contacting your brush rest enough to cause immediate wear once the front half of the arrow is clear.  An underspined arrow will shoot right (for a righty), and therefore it stands to reason that the arrow stays in contact with the strike plate for longer than it should as it "wraps around" the riser on it's tip-right path.  Whaddya think?  Are your new arrows flying soft at all?
