I said I would keep you posted on my progress.  I'm now back to my 80# longbow and shooting with complete full draw, holding while I pick my spot and driving tacks!  It was good to drop down to the little 63# bow until I got all this into muscle memory and then work my way to my hunting bows.  It can be done!

Well done, Magilla Gorilla!  How long can you shoot a bow that heavy?  I know I would wear out quick on an 80 pounder.

longbowman: Glad to hear you are doing so well. I use too shoot 75# when I was younger. Now I stay at 50# to 54# long bows and everything that I shoot correctly is dead.

Good Luck

ammoeater,  I can shoot 3-D torunaments without fatigue using that bow.  It's all what you get used to.  I'm 57 and shoot nearly everday of my life and have been shooting moderate weight bows for 30+ years.  I just bought my son a 93# @ 27" longbow that he shoots all summer so his little 80# Hill will feel light while hunting in cold weather.
