I'm like you, right handed and left eye dominate.  I switched to lefty fifteen years ago.  I'm glad I made the change.

Another RH/Left-eye dom. shooter here. I'm new to the trad scene overall (had always shot RH compounds until a few months ago). I've shot some older, used RH recurves/longbows a little bit, but just ordered my 1st longbow as a lefty (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=095007;p=1#000000). I figure, I'm learning it all fresh anyway, might as well learn it all the way! I still havent gotten groups even close to yours!

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Im another victim of the RH/left eye dom group. Years ago friend and I used to shoot our wheel bows constantly and to add to the challenge shoot left handed. I always did ok at that, but never knew I was left eye dominate. What I have found is when Im trying to measure something and I close my eye to really focus on the tape measure, its my left eye Im keeping open. Thats kinda how I discovered my situation. I dont think I can make the switch with trad gear though, strength would be a huge issue.
I'm not a "deer" hunter, I'm a bow hunter that occasionally shoots a deer.

After watching your video, perhaps the effort on my part WOULD BE WORTH IT to learn to shoot opposite;  for me, that would be shooting righty.  It sure would let me try an awful lot of right handed bows I've admired over the years!  Shoot well!  Aloha & 73, de Randy

I gotta hand to you guys that found out that yor left eye dominant and made the change from shooting right handed to left. It can't be easy.

I did the change. It was worth it, though a pain in the neck (at least at the beginning). Plus the cost of the bows...

Fred Bear did it. Glenn Charles did it.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Forgot to add that it is likely that neither was left eye dominant. They did it for different reasons.

Just consider yourself lucky to still have a dominant eye. In my younger years I was right handed, left eye dominant. Now I just have a pair of crappy eyes, neither of which wants to take charge.

I taught myself to shoot a rifle right handed when I was in my teens so when it came time to shoot a bow I had no trouble at all shooting both ways.

My next challenge at age 59 is to learn to shoot a shotgun well right handed.
