Lets eliminate all the long drawn out explanations. Lets assume I have the proper arrow and all the junk that goes with it. I've shot these several years so lets skip nocking point, brace height, spine , gpi, and blah, blah, blah. I can shoot several arrows with perfect flight and then a few will fly with some porpoise. I know it is from crappy release. Have you used any gloves that definitely clean this up some. No thanks, not interested in tabs. No I'm not cranky. Just don't want to drop 30 bucks on a glove that doesn't help. I do seem to do better with an old calf hair glove.

Sorry, I don't think it is the glove. I experience something similar once in a while. Invariably it is my follow-through. When my drawing hand thumb slides along my face, under my ear and ends up touching my shoulder INSTANTANEOUSLY by using back motion to execute the shot, my result is terrific. I think about the "back of the shot" instead of the front (result) of the shot.

Bowwild, we must be related. You described me to the "T". The glove was wishful thinking. Thanks, Kirby

Not the glove, stick with what your using and focus on back tension.  You collapsing on your release.

Skill is not born into anyone.  It is earned thru hard work and perseverance.

read the above but if you want an inexpensive glove try the "black glove" from Bearpaw Archery. I just started using it a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I had used good leather gloves for years.

Old doesn't start until you hit three figures...and then it's negotiable

An old glove might have worn in string grooves that might be not as forgiving as a new glove with no grooves.

If you have an old gnarly glove and you are pulling through your release, you will get a permanent streak on your face. Some get into trouble with their release when their primary objective is to hold the draw for a longer time. You get to hanging on the string instead of pulling it.  When you get it back and if it is on target let it go.

I was having that problem and my problem was I was not letting my fingers be straight, kinda curled. Once I started letting my fingers stretch out straight my release got much better.
Don't know if thats by the book but it worked for me.

you release is a result of backtension , relaxin the hand and follow through to concusion every time .not a consious release effort. do a couple days of eyes closed close bail shooting and just focus in this part of your shot.
form is everything! shoot well shoot hard.
