I know that our local Michaels doesnt have it. I tried and they just have some kinda other leather glue which didnt work when I tried to glue my seal skin rest on.

Most contact cements are the same no matter what brand you use(Barge is a brand name). Weldwood makes contact cement that I use.    Pat

Contact cement is different stuff 10ga.  You don't just put it on and stick the pieces together.  Maybe you did that ?   You gotta wet both pieces, let them air cure, then stick them together.  Try it again, maybe.  I have some difficulty finding Barge cement also.  Grab it when you see it. Good luck.

If you can't find it in any local stores try a shoe repair shop. They usually use it on shoes being repaired. I have found it under  other names in hardware stores. Frank
