I know it may seem petty to move posts from here that don't pertain to the actual purpose of this forum.....but I would like to comment on why we move them out....and try an get folks to actually read the posting guidelines.....

When folks come here to chat about shooting, learn about shooting, help others with their shooting, we don't want them to have to wade through off topic posts.  Its that simple.

Everyday there are 2 or 3 off topic posts that get moved out of here, and if they weren't moved, they would add up fast.  Most of these post that don't belong here wont get the timely responses they deserve as if they were posted in the proper forum to begin with.

So you ALL can help us....please do not post off topic posts here....AND, if you see an off topic post please do not reply OR do reply and remind the topic starter that it is off topic.

Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.....

There are still dozens of threads that don't belong here.  It's kind of weird that people don't get it.  I've started coming here now just to see how many new threads don't belong.

Maybe, instead of the triple sticky at the top you should just use that space to post the instruction that this forum is for threads regarding the act of shooting a bow only.....?

It is absolutely astonishing at how many people do not read the posting guidelines....unbelievable at the number off off topics we get on this forum.

They will no longer be moved....but will simply be deleted. I don't have time to move them anymore....sorry.

Terry, I feel your pain. Reading comprehension doesn't seem to be a very highly developed skill these days... there will be some mighty confused folks whose threads disappear, but I think you've been very tolerant in the past.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for all you do in keeping this site on track.

Being that I am a recent subscriber to the TG site, I would like to offer the following suggestion.

Scrolling through the various forums is a bit overwhelming to a new person or subscriber.

There are many specialty forums available, but, there are no General Question type forums for the casual reader or subscriber.

Maybe if there were such a forum the number of postings in the wrong place would diminish???

PS: I enjoy the site as is but all things can be improved upon.

All people need to do is read the posting guidlines that are availabe in numerous places on this forum........there is certainly room for improvement in that department.
 

Would it be crazy to create the posting policies as a gateway to each forum? The user would have to click on them before entering the forum.

Probably too intrusive since they will still do it anyway....
