It seems when I shoot my release hand flies back quite a bit. I don't pluck, and I shoot fairly well. Just want to not move my hand quite so much. Is there a technique or does it just take expierence?

Not sure why you would want to do that.  You could brace your hand on your jaw, but then you would probably stop using proper back tension.  Good luck.  I'm sure others will have more useful info.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about where my hand ends up after the shot, that takes conscious thought. I do like the fingers to remain on the side/back of the neck though. What I would concentrate on is retaining the back tension well after the arrow is released. If you look at it like this, the release is actually part of the follow through and not a separate step.

My guess is that you aren't getting enough back tension and/or aren't getting your drawing elbow all the way to the rear.  If you are at true full draw there shouldn't be much room for your hand to fly back.  Just my thought.

If you watch the master of the bare bow videos, you want you entire right side to relax and your release hand ends up back over your right shoulder for a right handed shooter.  If you are shooting well don't change, it perfect it!  The key to repeatable shots is to pull thru and not only maintain steady back tension, but to keep expanding until the release just happens.

When I started doing this my 20 yard groups shrunk from 4 inches to two inches and under.

If your release is going BACK...I don't see a problem, as that means you have prober back tension.  Unless there is another problem I'm missing.

If you are that concerned...film yourself and post it here.
