I'm shooting from 15 yards. When I shoot it seems to be a good group or at least there inline vertical. But it is 6" to the right.  I'm not using my arrow to aim I'm just feeling the right place to point. When I try to move the arrow to the center it really feels as if I'm aiming to the left and it does not feel right.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like your arrows are stiff.  You never mentioned the length of your arrows.  That will make a difference.  If you have already had them cut, you will have to go up in point weight to make them a fly to center.

I don't have a Montana but with a bow not cut to center, you will find that you need a shaft weaker than expected with a particular spine. (I hope I said that correctly) Try some heavier points until the arrows are landing where you want them.  OL Adcock's page on tuning arrows is excellent info on getting bare shafts and fletched shafts into the same groups - then you are tuned.

I have been shooting around 46#s with Vapor 2000 arrows at 30" with 175 grain points.  They fly well but each bow will vary.  As they say, "Your mileage may vary".  By the way, lefty also but split finger - shouldn't matter though.

If you're standing with your shoulders open to the target, that will throw your arrows to the right for a left-handed shooter.  Try standing perpendicular to the target without a bow in your hand, looking straight ahead, and then turn your head to face the target without moving your shoulders.  Look down at your shoulders; that's how your shoulders should be pointed when you shoot.

Another thing to try.  If you're shooting with a straight bow arm, it can recoil to the right (for a LH shooter) throwing your shots off to the right.  With a slightly bent bow arm, it tends to recoil forward.

I am lefthanded and have a 50# Sequoia and 55# Tomahawk. I shot high and right until I read Byron Ferguson's Book "BE THE ARROW." He spoke of canting as windage on sighting a gun. I tried it both of my bows, and my arrows starting hitting the taget.

I am also left handed and cant my bow approximately 15 degrees and it works. Use to not cant and had the same problem.

P.S.When in doubt do as "Papa Bear".

Have tou checked to see if your righteye dominate???
