I am fairly new to trad archery. I shoot a Martin MX200, 45#, and draw about 26in. I`m trying 1916`s at different lenghts. How can I tell if an arrow is too stiff or too weak for the bow?

if the nock kicks to the left in flight (right handed shooter), the arrow is too weak. If the nock kicks to the right, it is too stiff.

You are in the ball park with 1916s, there are certain combinations that can be deceptive when the second wobble of the arrow shows up way out to the left on excessively stiff shafts, but the above answer is correct most of the time.  Your release may get stronger and your draw may get longer, I would leave some growing room of an inch or two before you cut all your arrows down.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Much appreciated.
