Just switched to anchoring in my jaw joint, for lack of a better anatomical word, and it's really working.  Right behind my last molar. I was having trouble anchoring in the corner of my mouth and raking my cheek as I released. Anybody else shoot with this anchor?  Hate to switch so close to season, but it feels good and I'm shooting better groups.

I anchor my jaw joint in front of my thumb knuckle.  I use a natural anchor which aligns everything up from drawing hand elbow to arrow tip.  That pretty much puts my fingers in the normal mouth spot.

Chappy,
Everybody's face and build are different.  What works best for one is not best for everyone.  If you are comfortable with your anchor point and, most importantly, if you are hitting what you shoot at, then keep right on going.

Life is an adventure.  Don't miss it.

I have tried the "jaw joint" anchor point.  I found that I got, on average, a cleaner release using this anchor point.  Using this anchor point slightly increased my draw lengh from anchoring at the corner of my mouth.  I did find that I was less accurate using the "jaw joint" anchor point, so I went back to the corner of my mouth.  The main thing is if it is working for you then keep doing it until it dosen't.

I anchot in the jaw joint and my index finger in the corner of my mouth.I do shoot with it relaxed a bit and in front some.

Thanks guys.  I just can't get as smooth a release from the corner.  Ready to go here in Iowa.  Haven't been out yet, but this cooler weather starting to get me itching.
