Anyone watched it, it is OK,  left me with a few questions, until I watched "Hitting Then like Howard Hill"  by John Schultz, You could hear the clicks in this old brain. good form combined with good technique. Paul learned to shoot from John. watching both is great combined they get you going in the right direction. Note* check out putting the nock point below the nock!

I have that video sitting in front of me right now ive rented it sevral times I think its a great video Paul did a good job putting it together.

I too seen the nock point below the nock whats up with that? Could you shed some light on this Paul?

Howard Hill in "Hunting the Hard Way" stated it made for faster nocking for that second shot.

I've also read where filmed shots have shown the arrow slipping down the string at release. The last few years I have added a nock below the arrow.

Also Easton slow-mo video show that the nock can slide down the string at release and cause the arrow to fly erratically.

I am waiting to get that one. Love watching Trad shooting  anything.<><

I think John Shulz's video is one of the best archery teaching techniques I have ever seen.  Whether or not you agree with what he is saying he demos it and shows it is easy to follow format.  Just him the bow and some arrows.  No "Look at what a great hunter I am shots" footage and what he says he does he does.  If watched in conjunction with some of the Howard Hill tapes run slow it can really give you some insights.

Could you get me the full name of the video. I'm having some problems finding it.

John Schulz gets a double thumbs up from me. I even go so far to own shoot one of his bows.

You might want to post for Too Short on the Powwow forumn, he is/was in Montana in May, got my Phantom Bowhunter Poster from him.

He places the arrow on TOP of the string nock (at least he did in that video), and I tried that yesterday using 3-under:  My sounded much quieter and I got more accurate groups.

Its called Hittem like Howard Hill and there is even a little book with the same title for like $10-12. Worth it!Has some hunting stories from John when he was with Howard.  It is the best teaching tool out there. You should be nocking over the nocking point without looking down at what your doing. Arrow comes out of the back quiver the nock index is rolled between thumb and index finger till you feel the index jam into the thumb. Now rotate over your shoulder the arrow right on down to the bowstring with your fingers funneling it and slide down to the nock. With this system I am able to shoot 5 arrows in 18 seconds with good hunting accuracy.
