Awesome deer!  Too bad Iowa's season opens after they have shed their velvet.
You sure have some dandys down that way!

Beautiful!!!
I remember the harvest thread.  Didn't notice the double throat patch then. The mount really shows that offf now.
Congrats.

Had a guy tell me "cost is no object to a big game hunter"

Great looking mount Tom!! [/b]
It is to us poor fellas Kenny [/b]
LOL, this came while they were shooting at unsuspecting , and uninjured grouse. One fellow was taking arrows from the other guys quiver and the second guy was griping about it.

So the guy stealing arrows says that!    :D
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Possum Head

A very special buck. I love his dark snoot and how it abruptly turns to a blonde crown. Love the wall he's on too!

Thanks! I salvaged those boards off an old fallen down house that was on the back of my buddies farm. It was his great grand parents house.

It is. My guy uses a tannery that does synthetic tanning and it takes a LONG time to get back. Up sides include his pricing, he does better work than the guy I used to use, and I get to hang onto the rack until he's ready for horns to go on!
