Are the Centershots made by the same carbon and process as the ICS Bowhunters (excluding finish)? Reason for asking is the Bowhunters take the least abuse as any carbons I've used and I only want what's tougher. Probably stick with Goldtips but curious.

Don't know about carbon process but I shoot both and the Centershots are tougher imho.

Try ics Hunters (not bowhunters).Don't know why they named them similar.

I understand that the Centershots are very comparable to the no longer made MFXs.  I still shoot the MFXs and they are absolutely great arrows!

I believe the Hunter/Bowhunter designation are different straightness.  Maybe .006 vs. .003, but I don't remember which is which, but you can look up the specs.

I shoot the Classics from my comppunds and my recurve bows.  You can spin and spine test them and cut them accordingly and you are left with some near-perfect arrows.  

The Classics are .003 to begin with

Richard, it's been years since I had any but they were bad to snap (no splintering) on impacts that would never break a Goldtip. Other than that they were great. Just haven't heard any reports on the Centershots and was curious.

I ran Beman ICS Hunter Classics out of my Stalker Coyote as a cheaper alternative to my typical Black Eagles last year.

Was pleasently suprised by their straightness and durability. I adjusted from their recommended spine range on their chart (.300) went up in point/broadhead range, used their own inserts and no added weights and really didn't really have to tune that much. Just a couple of tweaks on brace height and I was good to go. I think if anything, I may end up footing the next doz just for peace of mind.

They are a viable option to those on a budget.

   

The Beman ICS(Internal Component System) is a S-type carbon with a .246 ID.The Beman Centershot are a H-type carbon with a .233 ID.They are good arrows,but the take different nocks and inserts.I shoot them in 500 and 600 Centershot's.They are inbetween a ICS and a Axis/MFX are far as diameters.

I shoot the center shots- been very pleased overall.

Much smaller diameter than gold tips I've shot.

Quality arrow at a lower price.

I whipped up a dozen centershots this past fall when I was in a bind and could not get gold tip shafts. I shoot a lot and they have held up fine so far they are the 500s. They tuned well with the 75gr insert and so far the stumps I've hit have not effected them.

I've not shot them a ton, but I've not had any durability issues with the bowhunters

I hunt with Centershot's. They shoot fine for me.
