I'm looking for a shop or internet supplier that has a broad selection of aluminum shafts and sells singles. I'm trying to foot some easton axis 5mm shafts and a 1916 won't quit go on and a 2016 has way too much slop. That leaves me searching for a 1914, 1913, 2020 or even a 2018 would be an improvement. If you've got any ideas on where to source one or two, I'm all ears.

Lancaster archery, you can buy one shaft if you would like.

Your local archery club's lost/broken arrow bucket.  Leave the good ones for whoever owns them, but badly bent/weathered arrows should provide the pieces you need.

Ordering singles, and paying for shipping, makes for a pricey footing.  I bought some groups of older shafts on fleabay, kept a couple of shafts in the sizes I needed, and gave the rest away to others that needed them.  A lot less expensive for a lot more footing material.

Any archery shop that sells aluminums will have cut offs from the arrows they sold and cut to length for customers. Sometimes they sit on them for a while, and they build up in a 5 gallon bucket, or whatever. You can probably get all you want for a very good deal.

Brass tube also works for footing and is insanely strong. Can probably be purchased more readily in your desired quantity.

Lancaster Archery has a 1914 shaft which can be purchased one at a time at 8.50 each which would yield at least a dozen footings.  

1916 shaft = .265 I.D.
1914 shaft = .269 I.D.
2020 shaft = .273 I.D.
2016 shaft = .281 I.D.

All numbers are rounded to the nearest one thousandth of an inch...

That was my worry after I went to the Lancaster website as suggested above by Babs. Luckily it sounds like Carbonflyr has me all taken care of. Thanks Larry!!! What a great community!

I don't shoot carbon but have lots of 2114 and 2016 pieces, one 2018 shaft, and 5 pcs of 2117 (about 16" total). Let me know if anyone can use any of these. Free - rather see them used than recycled.
