How do you clean your Rancho Safari Gillie.

frassettor

I never have. I noticed the more wear and tear it has, the better it becomes

Maybe leave out in the rain for a few days?  That's what I would do...

Go to the car wash and have someone else wear it.

I have never really needed to, other than when I "aged" it. I rolled in dirt till it was quite nasty, then just hosed it down. They do look more natural when used a bit.
Sam

No, I don't look good in shaggy suits.

Water hose.. don't forget to roll it around in a muddhole first

Seriously though, I cleaned our Bush In Bag ponchos with my neighbors car wash equipment. Hunting in muddy corn fields got them really dirty.  Then to rinse the mud out, I went to a farm creek, some farmer upstream obviously was running his sewer line into the creek because they and me had a strong septic smell. I hate that septic smell.

Agitate in a tub with warm water and baking soda, rinse with a hose and air on a hanger outside

Bill Carlsen

I turn mine inside out and zip it up. Wash on gentle or delicate and double rinse with baking soda. Hang outside to dry. Works great for me and doesn't hurt the garment.

Hunt in the rain! Under no circumstances should you put it in the dryer... not the dumbest thing I've ever done, but close.   :scared:

Put it in a mesh bag and then in the washer. Good to go

That would work well. I was going to do that but could not find a mesh bag that would accommodate so I simply turned the suit inside out and stuck the face mask and hat in the inverted jacket.

I dip mine in a square plastic tub mixed with Carbon Synergy and water, let soak and hang dry. You can also do your pack and other hunting articles with the remainder of the solution.
