Well it has been a long tough season so far, but I finally connected on Nov 25th.

It all started back in August of this year. I was checking some camera pics when I came across a small group of bucks. A large 8, small crab claw 8, and two small 6 points.

September finally rolled around and I found myself setting in a tree daydreaming about one of the larger 8pts walking by. One evening I thought that was going to be a reality. The crab claw 8 came in behind me and worked over a small tree about 4o yards away. He worked his way to ten yards that evening, but he never offered me a shot. He stayed facing me or quartering to me until he finally spooked.

We had another run in during October. He came in behind me again pushing a large 4pt. He was looking for a fight, snort wheezing, pushing that 4pt until they finally ran off.

Now November is here and I have yet to fill a tag. On Saturday the 25th I ounce again found my self setting in a tree on a small 6ac track of land. I was hunting a bench crossing form my property to my neighbors. There isn't anything better than sitting in a tree at daylight and listening to the woods come to life.

Around 730am, I heard a deer running off the mountain behind me. I quickly turned on my camera and reached for my bow.

Well I'll let the video tell the rest. I am new to this self filming and editing maybe you will find it enjoyable.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.
