To the expected horror of some folks, I put a clicker on *gasp* a board bow over the weekend.  Feather on the nose, back of point, nothing is as clear an indicator as a clicker.  Darned if I didn't see my groups get cut in half and those oddball flyers disappear from the data.  I may end up buying 5 or 10 and just putting them on everything I make.  It may be an affront to all that is holy in this sport but it's a darned accurate way to shoot.

You can also make your own. Ultra cheap. Clay Hayes shows you how.

If we're not supposed to eat animals ... how come they're made out of meat? ~anon

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

Now that I think about it, at $20 a pop, it might be might actually be cheaper to buy the grinder & start making them.

Sam- you really don't even need a grinder, as you can use other base materials other than metal. If nothing else, it is a good way to save $$ and try one out.

Hey guys, I forgot to post the link to the article we put out on our blog. Not trying to hijack here, just thought it would be something people reading this thread would also enjoy.

I"ve had one on my Super K for about a week now.  Once I got it dialed in, I can't believe how much better I am shooting with it.  Groups at least cut in half!  Came to trad from wheel bows due to TP, like sold or gave away everything I owned.  This is fun again!

I'm not sure what people mean by the chain. I've seen clickers work but maybe I am picturing the wrong thing?
Can anyone link me to a picture of what they are talking about? Maybe already modded for your hunting bow?

You can see the styles here:  https://www.3riversarchery.com/buy/bows/bow-accessories/draw-check-clickers

The first two on the page are what we are talking about. Uses a string and small chain attached to the string.

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the chain. I use string loop material instead of the chain/string that comes with it.

This is what I was picturing when I heard them talking about it on The Push Podcast but I had no idea what they were talking about. I had only seen the Olympic style ones at my local range. Thanks!
