Hey everybody, I've been here since 2013 but have never been active at all. Today my hunting apprentice and best friend Sam Stephens once again said I should be on here more and posting. I'm trying to figure out the site navigation and posting so any help is appreciated.
I'm gonna try to post some pictures of this years buck as soon as possible.
We have a great place leased here in central Texas, Sam myself and 2 other guys hunt the property and for the last 5 years All members have been able to get a decent buck. This year has been no different, Sam and I have both tagged out here already as well as hosting South and Jake from Stalker bows a couple weeks ago. They had a good hunt here as well as our friend Paul's place about an hour away, but I'll let those guys tell their story.
This years buck was kinda different, as I sat in a makeshift blind that Sam and I built I watched as a nice young 8 and a fairly old 6pt milled around sniffing does and eating for a while. I took some pics and video and sent to Sam saying this old 6 was cool, but I initially thought I would pass on him today. As I watched him it became apparent that he was very dominant, he had cut up ears and battle scars and was far more mature than any deer I'd seen this year. After about 30 minutes I decided I was gonna take him. I raised my Horne longbow and waited for him to give me a good angle. In a short eternity he turned slightly quartered away and I made what m gonna say was as perfect a shot as I could hope. The Simmons Treeshark found its mark low and behind his shoulder and it was over quick. It was about a 17 yard shot and he went less than 20 yards before going down in clear view of me. I texted Sam to come pick me up because I had just smoked him! It was especially cool because I'd never shot a big mature 6 before and in my eyes this guy fit the bill!
I'd love to post some pics if anyone would like to help

Does that picture link work?

KAZ

Strong work, well done  :clapper:

Yes, the link works. However, you can paste a different link from IMGUR and then the photo will show directly in the post/thread. That makes it a little easier to read. There's a tutorial deal in the TradGang Computer Forum about posting Images from IMGUR.

Now edit your post, and remove the s from https and it will size properly.... Ask me how I know...?   :goldtooth:

Change the address for the picture from "https://" to "http://" and the pictures will be resized. Fine buck, Congrats!
