Sounds like your getting too much advice on your thread. For whatever reason the other string is not working out.Just shoot the stock string and be happy with it.

Believe it or not I have had some bows actually shoot better with B-50 or B-55 in overall manners. But guys will tell you no it doesn't.They don't have my bow!The bow will tell you what it likes.

While I agree that we can sometimes be overwhelmed on threads like this, it's a great opportunity to learn from folks who are happy to share their knowledge and expertise.

Monterey,
And just to keep it amusing you'll also get some folks more than willing to share opinions without either of the criteria you mentioned, lol.  Kidding aside, I never found a favorite material that held true across all types of bows that I've owned...long bows, recurves, etc. and all the subsets thereof. There's a significantly larger area of string contact on a recurve for example.  those type factors can come into play. In all honesty, my favorite material for a particular bow may have been as much a factor of tuning, shaft selection and other factors that affect our preferences without us being aware of it and sometimes attributing it to the wrong thing.   We could spend large sums of money to build an elaborate R&D facility and spend years researching it....and probably still go broke, as the incremental improvements are so small they're lost on a duffer like myself.
