Arrow saw

Looking for recommendations on a arrow saw. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have the 5000rpm Apple saw. It works awesome, and I could not see any reason to spend the extra $$$ to get the 8000rpm motor!

If $$ is tight you can get by with the 4" mini table saw at harbor freight tools.comes with a diamond and a toothed blade. Works well enough for wood/alum/carbon.its what I use but I only cut a dozen or two arrows a year.

Probably spring for an actual arrow saw.

The high speed saw with dust collector from Weston has worked for me for ten years now I think, it cuts them straight. I had one of those chop saws from Harbor Freight before it, even had it mounted on a decent jig, it was ok, but not near as good as a genuine arrow saw! I would of saved a lot of money buying the real thing first! They were quite a bit cheaper when I bought mine! But still a lot cheaper than the Apple and I've seen them hold up to archery shop level use!

Harbor Freight has a small chop saw, this would be good for the average guy cutting arrows 2 to 4 dozen per year.

I bought the HF saw but only use it on woodies (toothed blade). I'm told with a carbide disc it works great on aluminum or carbon as well. For 50 bucks and change, you can't beat it.

I paid less than $35 for the mini chop saw from HF, and got blades for it at Big Jim's. mounted it on a base with marked lengths, works great, and I do 4-5 dozen a year.

I cut all my carbons with either a file or a hacksaw plade. Plumbers pipe cutters for aluminums. Never shot wood

X2 on the Weston, I bought the 8000rpm with vacuum attachment years ago for half the $$$ of an Apple and it always cuts straight, set up for my draw length one time and no Jerry rigging something else to do an arrow saw's job.

Harbor Freight mini chop saw. About $25.00 Works great on wood, carbon and aluminum.

If you buy from Harbor freight, remember they always have a "20% off 1 item" coupon. Either in the printed flyer or on their website.

I have been using a die grinder with a cut off wheel freehand for my carbons. Cuts clean and fast but I have to eyeball it square. I plan to pick up a HF chop saw later on.

The harbor freight saw has gone up in price. It is now about $35

We keep it in stock along with the carbon cutting blades for it. They don't sell to us at a discount, but we keep them basically as a convenience for customers.

We don't have a HF near us so we have to order them in and do so in quantity.
For $50 you can get a drill master saw and blade off our site.
If you have a HF near you, you can pick up a saw and then order a blade off the internet and maybe save yourself $5 bucks if your going not making the drive just for the saw.

I use the Harbor Freight cut-off saw with a carbon fiber blade from Big Jim. The blade is the key to clean cuts IMO. Kudos to Big Jim for making it available to us.
