I'm trying to add weight to my 2018's. Has anyone filled their shafts with water for added weight? It seems to work well. Definitely adds a lot of weight!

I can't imagine a 2018 not being heavy enough, but you could always go to 2020s.  I can't imagine water is a good idea...

I would think after shooting a few arrows you would have an urge to go potty.   :bigsmyl:

That much weight within the body of your arrow is going to drastically lower your FOC.

I wouldn't do that for different reasons, one of which is that where I live the water would freeze and of course expand.

I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

How heavy of an arrow are you looking for? I mean I shoot 2018's a lot and with a 145 gr.point they weigh around 545 grs. I would think water might make their flight maybe eratic. With 2020's mine I think weigh close to with a 145 gr. point around 600 grs..

I used to shoot 2016 with clear aquatic tubing like used in aquariums, cut to length inside the shaft.  Made the arrows very heavy.

In my experience, best results are achieved using something that has some spine to it along with the weight (think weight tubes or duplexing shafting).  Adding "dead weight" alone doesn't work that well in the shooting.

I would just fill the front half to get more efoc.

3R also has 100 gr inserts for for 2016, 2017, 2315, and 2317.

Too bad they don't make the 2020 anymore or the 2419.

No different than the neighbor woman that won't talk to me after she had a flat tire.  It was only flat on the one side.

So my family all is/has worked LEO, one in particular worked on the US-Canadian border doing some border security work pre-911.  Long story short they had info that some Colombian special was being smuggled across the border via XX75s. Just happens he has some. So he tries filling a couple with powdered sugar and gives one a fling. Darn thing flew several hundred yards!!!!
