Folks, the 9th and the "FINAL" Pre-Spring Arrow Fling, hosted by the "American Traditional Archer", will be at Tannehill Historical State Park in McCalla, AL, February 23rd, 24th & 25th, 2018. I'd like to thank ALL that have helped and supported me over the last 8 years.

This event has also helped me to raise and donate over $42,000.00 to the local Boy Scout Camp that sits adjacent to the Park. Of course without the generous donations from many outstanding bowyers, archery companies, Vendors, and many others, all I'll get to later, it would've been nearly impossible to raise that much money.

I'll keep posting more and more information concerning this event along the way.

Thanks

Terry Harris

Terry,
Thanks for the years of hard work and excellent event. While I grew up in the Birmingham area, life took me to New Hampshire. Still, my wife and I managed to work some of my parents visits so we could attend. Thanks again. Todd

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Folks, being that this will be my last Pre-Spring Arrow Fling, and as most of you know I use this event to help raise money for the Boy Scout Camp that sits adjacent to the Park, I'm looking for any of you that would like to donate something to help me make this the largest fund raiser yet.

So far, over the years, I've donated over $42,000.00 to this camp.

Terry, I just want to take a minute and tell you thank you for all your hard work over the years. My family and I have enjoyed your shoots so much, they have been our yearly vacation for the past several years. We have made lifelong friends by attending your shoots, we have made friends that have turned into family. I can't even explain how many life's you have touched through the Howard Hill Classic and the Spring Fling. I have enjoyed preaching on Sunday morning at the shoots. I have seen God work in people's lives over and over through the Sunday morning devotion. My life being at the top of the list. You and Mrs. Rhonda have been a huge asset to the traditional archery community. Thank you for all that y'all have done. God bless, we will surly be attending the last shoot.

Thanks Tony

These photos are of Tannehill State Park entrance, the Grist Mill as you cross the bridge into Farley Field and the Tannehill General Store, where you sign up to camp and get some grub, snacks, ice, etc.

Thanks Tony,

What we have here is the entrance into Tannehill State Park, one of the Park Employees the point you in the right directions in the Park.  You'll also pay to come in the Park (if you're not camping), but once you pay you'll get with me to get a Park Pass, so you can go in & out of the Park.

There's also the Sweep Shop, for ice cream and great shakes (really better when it's hot outside).

Hate to see the Pre Spring Fling coming to an end.   What about the HH Classic?    What can we do to keep it going?   I'm in Slidell, Louisiana so distance is a problem for me to lend a hand.   What else might any of us (me) do?

Big shoes to fill to keep this going. Terry you've served the trad community well. Thanks for the years of hard work. You've contributed greatly to scouting but perhaps more so to us. You will be dearly missed and Tannehill wont be the same.   :clapper:

Terry, you are on my list. I will see you in February.
Pick a spot and concentrate!

Thanks for the kind words, Howard.

Bill, we'd love to see ya here.  I'm also going to the Kalamazoo Expo in January 2018, to display the signature bow (just in case you go to that).

Thanks Tony,

Here's a few photos, a couple of the rental cabins, a very small part of the trails I use for target set-up, and the furnace that was actually used in the War Between the States.
