Hello Gang,

This season I'm hunting with a vintage, Colt Firearms, "Pioneer" recurve.  Is there anyone here who is knowledgeable about the Colt bows?  I know they were made for Colt by Ben Pearson and Wing Archery.  I contacted Bob Lee bows and JJ said he was pretty sure my model was made by Wing back in the day, but there were no records to prove it.  He also said he thought they were only produced during the mid-to-late 60's.  Does anyone here have more specific info, or know where I might find more?  Thank you in advance for any help.

I'm getting a kick out of the potential of taking a deer with a bow that might be older than I am.

Shot with an older gentleman, late 70's. He was shooting a colt bow. Very good looking bow. Bubinga and green glass. Not a scratch on it. He said he bought it new in the early 70's. Sorry that is all I know. Good luck using it.

Nothing I can add about that bow Paul, but I can wish you the best of luck and look forward to the review of how well it performed with a few hero pictures included.

First bow I ever bought for myself. I say bought actually I traded my mothers coffee pot for it. I think that was 1973. I got it at a little archery shop in Lolo Montana from Dick Robertson of all people. I pretty much lived in that little shop, lol. It was a great bow.

Try posting  History/Collector section.

Sears  had a simular bow, if memory serves me.

Nice bow and shot!

Colt did a bit of getting gear from others and adding their name-I have a Colt Sako rifle from late 1960's.  It is a very fine arm, so they put their name on quality
