Since my daughter Eva was ready to move up and just won an awesome Maddog Pup, my boy Wyatt is starting off with Eva's little Bear stick. He can't do it by himself yet, but just like I did with his older sisters, I hold the bow below the grip and help guide his string hand and tell him when to release. I think he likes it, and he loves his big sis and follows her around like a puppy dog. Think I may get two archers out of the bunch!

Good form you, get em' out there and have fun.
Ephesians Chapter 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Dave,
That's a labor of love....it's been a long time since my kids were that age.

Eventually I got to hunt whitetails with my son Andrew....was there when he shot his first!

His sister prefers warm beds, hot showers and friendly stationary targets.

Life IS good!!

Enjoy every moment of that - it goes too fast!
Jim

Enjoy these days, they will seem short.  Before you know it, he will be taller than you and out shooting you.

Very nice. I love looking back on those days. All our kids are grown now and have families of their own. We now have grandchildren and I'm eagerly looking forward to teaching them just like I did their parents. They will even  be using the same equipment I taught their moms and dads on. How cool is that ?!
I reckon so

Keep it fun, but mainly keep it safe.  My son started when he was 2, shot me in the hand when I was pulling arrows because I wasn't paying attention and he had one more arrow I didn't notice.

Balloons make great targets, and stuffed animals from the thrift store do too.
