Pulled up from work this evening and for a moment was caught off guard by a suspicious package. The wife quickly sounded "the Bows". Well it sure was and they are lookers. In one Mike used Cocobola and what appeared to be Ash or a light chunk of Hickory divided by a nice accent stripe. The other
Zebra wood and probably stained maple with accent stripe as well. Both 48 inchers with green glass and what the boys said were cool strings. Thanks so much Mike you done good. One youngun is a natural and wants to kill something and the other acted as though he would rather watch grass grow   :dunno:  How was Papaw suppose to know? I think I'm gonna make a big cardboard Dinosaur target to boost interest. Or perhaps some large balloons.

Captain*Kirk

You done good. One watching the other will eventually kindle interest...it's a natural curiosity thing.

Water balloons, shaving cream balloons, balloons with flour in them to make a white poof when hit. Reactive targets are always a great hook!

Sounds like a couple lucky young fellas. (One just doesn't know it yet)
Slap a dollar bill on the target. First one to hit George gets to keep it.

Balloons and kids shooting bows go great together.  Get them close enough that they can hit them often, and you'll soon be out of breath and they won't want to stop.

When they get to that level, have them shoot the flame from a candle. Amazing how hard folks concentrate on that flame.

Mike makes a great bow- I used mine when I was  doing rehab on a shoulder, and it worked to keep me in the game.  Light to the hand and quick to the target.
Cast a long shadow-you may provide shade to someone who needs it.  Semper Fi

You're most welcome, thank you for the compliments,  (The bows are zebra wood and myrtle, and the other is cocobolo, and black locust.)
