I want to order a longbow from Fox Archery.I looked on search and not to much came up.I think I want the Triple Crown longbow.I like the way the thumb sets way into the riser. This bow will only be used for 3-D shoots,so I want to get 38@ 28.If anyone has one,or has shot one, your input will be appreciated.Pictures would help to.I was thinking about Purple Heart riser, myrtle limbs, bamboo cores. What do ya'll think.

Give them a call. Heard nothing but good about their products and customer service.
I did get to shoot a Fox breed about a month ago.........very smooth and very fast!!

Right out of the gate, I can tell you that Ron and Debbie are a class act, with first class bows. I have a Royal Crown, and can say of all my bows, it is my Holy Grail. Having never had the triple crown, I can't give advice on it, but know from what I hear it would be an awesome choice. I have been talking to Ron on what I want my next Royal Crown to look like. If you have any questions Pm me.

I second what has been said so far; Fox bows are top notch.  The Triple Crown is designed to be as high performance as possible while still qualifying for any tournament where D shaped longbows are required.  The Royal Crown maintains some reflex/deflex shape when braced, while still qualifying as a longbow since the string only touches at the nocks when braced.  I had a Triple Crown for a while and sold it because none of the tournaments I shoot in require a D shaped longbow, and I like my R/D longbows better.  I may be in the market for a Royal Crown one of these days.

You're gonna be thrilled.  The Triple Crown is awesome.  Get the carbon lam with myrtle over the top.  I have owned 2 and they are super for precise distance shooting as far as 1pc bows go.

I have shot one and they are really nice. They were at Kalamazoo a few years ago and I shot every bow that they brought. I was initially going to order the Royal Crown but ended up ordering his classic longbow.
I just shot it better. No matter what bow you get from Ron you will not be disappointed. Great people to work with and the bows are beautiful!!

I have one with Miracta/Cocobolo riser and Yew limb core with black glass on the back.  Call him, great Guys! He will recommend 64 or longer for a target bow.  Mine is 66".  The Triple Crown is specifically designed as a competition bow.  For what your looking for you cant go wrong.

I have heard nothing but good about the Triple Crown
I'm going to say you cannot go wrong.

As info Timberpoint makes the Odyssey and Kraken.
Both are competion long bows but heavier than the Triple Crown
I like wood bows. They fit my style and mentally simple self

I shot a Triple Crown in the worlds last year. Although I am not a longbow guy, it was a pleasure to shoot. One of the fellows I shot against was saying that it would be his next longbow after seeing mine.
Great bow and great people to deal with.

One of the nicest feeling and finished bows I have ever held in my hand. It doesn't get any better than that. I have never seen a Fox owner that did not love the bows./
God bless, Steve

Great people to deal with, great bow to shoot.

Prometheus

Ron is great, as are his bows. I just put a High Sierra up in the classifieds, but my go-to bow at the moment is another slightly different High Sierra he made me just a few months ago. I wouldn't hesitate to go with anything he makes, and I have heard wonderful things about his longbows, so I'm confident you'll be very happy!

Good luck!
