Thanks. I decorate my shop walls with old albums of music that I like.

I'm amazed at how tough bamboo and cane arrow shafts are. I like to shoot them into steel drums on 3D courses. It makes a loud noise and the arrows just bounce off with no damage.

I've always wanted to have / shoot bamboo but from what I gather, they can be fussy (spine/weight)

Now that I'm retired I'd like to give 'n a try.

Very nice arrows! I'm with Kenneth on posting pics. I'd much rather make a set of these then try to post a pic on here again:O haha Tony I've never noticed mine being fussy of spine at all. I do make mine longer 31"-32" and match the spine as close as I can but over a range of different bow weights they fly great. Just a slower shooting shaft but hit hard.

I think a well made cane arrow stands up to any wood arrow in weight and shootability. They are a bit more work to make but IMO they are worth the effort.
My hill cane arrows are consistently 550gr to 650gr for a 30", 56#@26" and generally 3/8" at the point end and 5/16" at the self nock.

First wal mart special tomato stake. Made 6 that one looks the best. Shoots rather well for not really knowing what I was doing, and with my crappy shooting they've taken a beating and are still going strong.

These Tonkin arrows will accept any screw in point for versatility and changing out damaged points easily.

Tony, I find them more forgiving. Varying weight doesn't seem to make as much difference and I shoot the same arrow in several different weight bows. It can be difficult to order or find a starting place because of the language problem and various way of measuring things in China though. It is said the natural taper makes them more tolerant. You put the point on the big end for a natural Front of center shaft. Well dried they are tough. I cut self nocks in them and it takes a lot of filing and sanding to get a good snap on fit. The ears on the nocks are very small for my light weight bows but none have broke. I test fired them at 55 pounds and they check a little weaker than 600. all went well. >>---> Ken
