I picked up a Browning Nomad Stalker a few weeks ago to use for bow fishing. 52 in bow, 45 lbs.
It is in really nice shape.
Well I was not expecting much when it came to shooting it, figured it would stack like crazy, vibrate etc.
I was pleasantly surprised! this thing shoots quite nice, and till you hit 28 does not stack.
The previous owner had it well set up, good flemish twist string, beaver ball silencers, and had added a little bump to the shelf.
It shot where I was looking with the first arrows I tried and it had no vibration and was really quiet.
So I decided to see if it was still 45 at 28in, and surprisingly it was exactly 45 at 28, and 42 at 27in where I draw too.
So then I ran these arrows - 540 grainers over the chrono - 147 fps, not awesome but certainly decent for a bow made in 1971!
First vintage bow I have shot since I was a kid trying to shoot my dads Bear Grizzly - and I think he bought it around 1974. At the time I was 9 and had trouble shooting the 25lb green fiberglass Shakespeare he had bought me!

I've had a few Brownings.  Shot a few deer with them.  Have Browning Fury 60" i refinished, reshaped the handle to fit my hand.  Smooth and quiet.  Only gripe was the grips are usually too beefy for me.  The finish on their top end bows were beautiful.

I've been shooting a Browning Wasp (56") this Winter and plan on hunting it this Fall.  Snotty little bow.  Very light and handy.  The grey glass face & back is a nice look.  

A Browning Explorer (62") is my favorite bow and has been bloodied many times.  Love that design.

One of my "prettiest" bows is a Browning Cobra II (58").  Solid, but not as fast as the other two.

The shop I bought the Nomad Stalker at had one of those Cobra II also - also in really good condition, but it was 60 or 65 lbs as I remember.
It was beautiful, and if it had been 50 or even 55 it would have come home with me too, really pretty bow.

I have an early Cobra, I will use it this year for turkeys. Still looking for the right Explorer and Challenge bows.

I have an older Browning recurve - A Scout - That I love.  For some reason I shoot it better than any other bow.  It just feels right.

Fine little bow for hunting from a ground blind, 54".

Stumpshooting; Slinging sticks with sticks toward the origin of the sticks.

The first recurve that I ever shot was Browning Wasp on a school field trip. I only pulled it back half way and closed one eye. The guy telling me how to shoot it didn't really know what he was doing, but I thought it was fun none the less.

I have an Explorer 56" that is 56#@28 and it shoots very well also the finish is beautiful. Even at my 29 1/4" dl it doesn't stack, which for a short bow is amazing.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

Just this week I have been shooting and messing around with my son's old Wasp.  Fun, nice shooting little bow.

I have two Brownings and they are fun to shoot. Have a 60" 38# Safari II and a 44# 58" CobraII which I've killed several deer with. The Cobra is a handy little bow for ground hunting but the gloss finish needs some wax or limb covers for close work. I've refinished both due to slight crazing but it is fulfilling to bring old bows back to their original appearance. Good bows and are under rated for sure.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

This week I was lucky and found a very nice Browning "Rover" without a string for very little money.

It is 64" 40# so I picked up a 60" string yesterday, but it will be a week or two before I get to shoot it.

The first hunting bow I carried into the Michigan woodlands was a Browning Nomad Stalker....

I think I killed more deer with that and a Nomad Stalker II than all other bows combined.

I just picked up a beautiful Explorer II. 62" 45# @ 28" Just a nice bow that looks like new. Going to get her tuned up and start shooting it this week.

I have seen a couple nice cobras for sale, but have resisted the temptation so far!
