Not the swivel version but I have used a Helinox numerous times hunting. They fold small and are comfortable.

I don't own one yet but this IS definitely a chair I will be buying. I've sat in one twice and was very impressed. Stable. Has some flex in the back for comfort. Fast assembly. Light enough for mobile hunting and small enough for use in a tent. The swivel is exactly ideal for bowhunting.

cheers kevin for your opinion. i want to use it in a 12 man kifaru tipi for general car camping trips plus pack in trips where i want to live it large out of the tipi. i've been looking for a hunting chair for a little while and while i like the idea of a tripod seat with adjustable legs for uneven ground like the redneck or A-rest chairs something like that isn't as light and packable as i need a chair to be. i'm a mobile hunter most of the time but i like to have a chair with me for when i find a spot worth sitting at for an ambush, especially so when deer hunting . the swivel chair seems like a good height for shooting a bow from too.

The two things I see wrong with it are 1) the legs are not adjustable and 2) the feet will sink into soft ground. It certainly would not work for the rough Ozark terrain that I hunt in.

yeah i see that too. what else is out there that is light, very packable, comfortable, adjustable for uneven ground?

There is always a compromise.  And for light weight you are not going to get everything.  I  have a Helinox in the non swivel version and it is a great chair for what I use it for.  Great for in a tent and great for packing in where you want a chair to hunt out of or glass from.  If you go on Youtube there are mods where guys add a small ball on the feet for soft turf.  Adjustable legs would be nice but not a game stopper for me.

I bought a swivel chair, it was a bit flimsy IMHO. Returned it and got the "Tactical" version which is sturdier I think, but no swivel.

We use the Helinox chairs for  spotting on our annual moose  hunt in AK.  If you think they are going to sink in soft soil get old tennis balls and cut a hole in them for the feet.  Problem solved.  I've  sat in one for 8 hrs while on a spotting scope and they are very comfy.

It looks like it leans back to far to shoot from.?
