can someone tell me the recommended brace height for my new (pick it up tomorrow) bear montana?  thanks.......

8up

I found this post hope it helps.

"My bear Montana longbow liked 7 3/4". Twist it up starting at 7" until you find the sweetspot - least noise/shock. You will probably have to work past it and then come back. Just remember how many twists it took to make the changes in height. "
If God is your Co-pilot, change seats.

SCATTERSHOT

Bear recommends up to 8 1/2". That seems a little high to me, and I found that mine shot best around 7 1/2", if memory serves.

Thanks men.  I got the bow yesterday and started at 7.5.  The paperwork which came with the bow said between 7.5 and 8.5.  Mine seemed to shoot the best at between 7.5 and 8.  the bow was so quiet with my heavy woodies that I don't think silencers are needed.  great info here!  thanks
