I have one of the Wild Horse Creek Kestrels. Maybe I need to make a trip up to see Mike about a Mariah.

I would look at a Lil' Hoots  also.  Very smooth shooting bows.

If your on a budget look at the Honor 56in bow by PSE nice bow for the money .

Get yourself a K Mag 52" curve. Bear nailed it on his bow. Can be bought on the net for cheap and most of the customs can't keep up.

You can still find Browning Wasp recurves that are real performers.  56".  Maybe $125 to 150 in nice shape.

I've been wanting to give a Mariah a try myself.

There's a great Bear recurve in the classifieds now for $185, that looks to be new.

I personally like the Toelke Kestral at 52 inches.

Lots of great options shown but I will x2 what Prairie Drifter mentioned and the Sierra Blanca Curve.  Or as I call it: an RMR "knock off" as I believe it was un-named when I got mine and Jess Stuart(bowyer) makes no bones about what he was trying to accomplish creating this great bow.  He used Rocky Mountain Recurves to create a match to the original riser and tweaked the limbs to make it better.  I have both and Jess' shoots better for me.  Great bows, great guy and if you don't go all fancy like the beautiful one Prairie has you can get them for a very reasonable price.

Mine is 56" but he can make them shorter

Ray Lyon

For inexpensive and a draw of 28" or less, go with one of the classics (Bear Kodiak Magnum or Browning's in the 52" and 54" length). If you've got a 28-29.5 draw, you're best to stay in a used 56" Super Shrew Classic Hunter or Little Favorite style of bow with small riser and longer working limb.  If you've got a draw longer than 29.5, you probably will be disappointed in a truly compact bow.

What about an old Sheepeater Spirit with the narrow grips?

Agree with Terry. Cody at Tenbrook makes a FINE bow.

43"

Is tenbrook still making these?  I don't see them on their website.
